Most people are familiar with that unfortunate moment when they’re just ready to take the perfect photograph and someone appears unexpectedly in the shot and ruins everything. This can be especially frustrating when the photographs are for the most important and joyous family events, such as weddings.
Recently, newlyweds Elizabeth and Ryan found themselves in this situation when they were taking photographs in New York’s Central Park on September 24. However, they were soon overjoyed when they learned who the passerby who had “ruined” their shot was.
Tom Hanks himself, star of Forrest Gump and The Da Vinci Code, ended up in their wedding shots.
He was just running along the path, but unlike other joggers, he didn’t run around the photo shoot — instead he became one of its stars.
He kissed the bride’s hand and congratulated the young couple.
Photographer Meg Miller was lucky enough to capture the unique, wonderful moment. She didn’t miss a thing and tried to photograph every instant of the chance meeting.
Tom then made a selfie with the newlyweds and later uploaded it to Twitter with the caption “Elizabeth and Ryan! Congrats and blessings! Hanks.”
That’s the best way to “spoil photographs” — with the audacity of Hollywood and heartwarming sincerity.
