This is the grusome moment a dermatologist surgically drains a giant cyst, causing pus to erupt from a woman’s neck.
Not for the squeamish, the footage shows a torrent of cream-cheese-like substance jettison from the lump.
The patient tells Dr Sandra Lee, who is also known as Dr Pimple Popper, that the lump has been on her neck for three years.
Despite attempts by her husband to squeeze the cyst, it proved impossible to pop.Desperate, the patient resorted to visiting Dr Pimple Popper, a California-based dermatologist.Delving into her collection of surgical tools, Dr Lee opts to use a hole punch-like device.
She pierces a hole at the centre of the lump, before squeezing the cyst.
The pressure prompts an eruption, with white pus oozing from the lump.
Dr Pimple Popper then takes tweezers to the lump, gently easing the rest of the pus from the hole, ensuring it has all been removed. To prevent infection, Dr Lee then injects the small wound before she stitches the patient up.
Dr Lee works at the Skin Physicians & Surgeons practice in Upland, California, and began filming her work a year ago.
